Seminar on International Management Capability of Enterprises for Developing Countries Held by Shanghai Business School Started Smoothly

On October 12th, the opening ceremony of the Seminar on International Management Capability of Enterprises for Developing Countries sponsored by the Ministry of Commerce and hosted by the MOFCOM Training Base for International Business Officials (Shanghai) of Shanghai Business School, was commenced. Fang Meng, from the Foreign Economic Cooperation Department of Shanghai Municipal Commission of Commerce and Chen Wei, the executive vice dean of the College of International Education, Shanghai Business School and deputy director of the MOFCOM Training Base for International Business Officials (Shanghai) attended the opening ceremony.

With the achievements of more than 40 years of reform and opening-up, China has taken the lead in economic development in the world. Chinese enterprises have gradually become strong. Many enterprises have gone abroad and integrated into the global market, expanding from the initial OEM trade to high value-added links, and constantly moving upstream in the global industrial chain division. For more than 40 years, from a global perspective, Chinese enterprises have experienced upgrading and continuous leap in quantity and quality on the way of internationalization. The purpose of the seminar is to promote the exchanges and cooperation between China and developing countries in the international operation of enterprises, seek new possibility for China and participating countries to complement each other's advantages and develop together, thus, providing new development opportunities for enhancing the well-being of people of all countries. 

Mr.Fang Meng is giving a speech

Fang Meng expressed that China adheres to the basic national policy of opening up, firmly pursues the mutually beneficial and win-win opening strategy and upholds the direction of economic globalization. Also, we are creating favorable circumstance for the international operation of enterprises. So, enterprises from developing countries are warmly welcomed to come to China to cooperate and develop businesses and share China's development dividends. It is hoped that this seminar will provide opportunities for mutual learning and exchanges, build a bridge for strengthening multi-field exchanges and deepening pragmatic cooperation between China and developing countries, and help enterprises in various countries to develop their international management capabilities.

Mr. Chen Wei is delivering a speech

Chen Wei said that the entry into force of RCEP as well as the deepening and expansion of the cooperation of "the belt and road initiative" in the past ten years will speed up the pace of Chinese enterprises to go global. The purpose of this seminar is to promote the exchanges and cooperation between China and developing countries in the international operation of enterprises, so that participants can have a more comprehensive understanding of the exploration and practice of Chinese enterprises in the international operation, thus helping enterprises in their respective countries to better integrate into the global market and achieve more sustainable and long-term development. 

The official representative is speaking

The official representative, Mr. Keane Samuel Anthony Francis, Cultural Officer from the Ministry of Tourism, Culture and Arts of Trinidad and Tobago, expressed his heartfelt thanks to the Ministry of Commerce of the People's Republic of China and Shanghai Business School. He hoped that all participants will seize this opportunity to get improved through the study of the seminar, understand China's unique cultural traditions, and strengthen cultural cooperation and diplomatic ties among countries.

The seminar will last for 21 days, with 26 participants from 8 countries including Albania, Jordan, Nigeria, Palestine, Rwanda, Sri Lanka, Trinidad and Tobago and Venezuela. In the seminar, participants will be arranged to visit Huangshan City, Anhui Province.
